A Business Tenant’s Perspective | Woolstock

At Kereby, our commercial spaces are home to numerous small business owners and entrepreneurs who run their businesses with passion and dedication. One such tenant is Louise Søgaard, who has operated her charming knitting shop, Woolstock – cotton, wool and coffee, since 2018.

Woolstock is more than just a yarn store – it is a meeting place for knitting enthusiasts and a hub for coziness and inspiration. Here, you can find a selection of quality yarn, accessories, and expert advice for both new and experienced knitters.

The knitting café is a space where socializing and well-being go hand in hand. You can relax with a delicious cup of coffee and a piece of homemade cake or a bun, surrounded by an array of colorful yarns and the unique atmosphere that only knitting enthusiasts can create. Whether you are an experienced knitter or a curious beginner, you are welcome to join and learn.

Woolstock aims to promote genuine togetherness and comfort, which is why computers are not allowed in the café – here, it’s all about immersing yourself in the moment and letting creativity flow freely.

My Life is My Business

This is how Louise, owner of Woolstock at Jagtvej 183, describes her experience as one of our business tenants.

Louise elaborates: “The most important thing for me is to have a good life with a business that is a lovely place to be, and where it feels good to be a tenant. Kereby has welcomed me warmly, and I feel secure as a tenant. They are responsive to my wishes, and I experience a willingness to help with any challenges that arise from time to time.”

Kereby – Part of My Team

When asked how she experienced the process with Kereby from viewing the space to the day-to-day running of her shop, one of the key points was being a team player.

“It was an easy and pleasant process – very trustworthy. Kereby is professional, knows the rules, and follows them. In fact, I feel that Kereby is part of my team. As an independent, female entrepreneur, I still encounter many obstacles and feel that I’m not always taken seriously. Kereby did; they listened and believed in my business. They believed in me.”

In 2020, Louise moved her shop into a Kereby rental space on Jagtvej – and in addition to being a business tenant, she is also a residential tenant in another of our properties.

More Than Just a Landlord

“My business goals are to thrive in my business life, as it is my entire life. Kereby is a team player and a partner rather than just a landlord. This gives me peace of mind as a business tenant,” Louise concludes, sending a warm smile across the counter surrounded by bundles of knitting needles and yarn skeins.”
