From Dream to Reality
The Story Behind BAFI
BAFI was founded on many years of shared creative work. The couple behind the brand come from the creative industries and have worked with film, theatre, photography, art, and floristry. Collaboration has always been a natural part of their relationship—both working side by side on projects and acting as each other’s closest creative partners.
A shared focus on quality, personality, and soul runs through everything they do. They have never been afraid to take on new projects, even when the path forward was not entirely clear from the beginning. When something was unfamiliar, they learned along the way. This mindset became the foundation of BAFI.
“We’ve never been afraid to jump into new projects—even when we didn’t know exactly how to do it or where to begin. If we don’t know yet, we’ll figure it out along the way.”
The dream of having a place of their own had existed for a long time—a small hangout, a shop, and an atmosphere brought together in one space. In June 2025, the dream was revisited in earnest. After several unsuccessful attempts in the past, they once again began looking at commercial spaces—and this time, the timing was right.
A small space on Rantzausgade had just been listed, and four weeks later, the keys were theirs. After three weeks of intense work, BAFI opened its doors for the very first time.
