Århusgade renovation – from worn to renewed

Århusgade: Preservation meets modernity

When apartments become vacant, we upgrade them to ensure comfortable and contemporary living spaces for future residents. The renovations are carried out continuously, maintaining the traditional Copenhagen style while introducing modern functionality.

New life in the floor plan

The biggest transformation lies in how the space is now utilized. The layout has been redesigned to make the apartment more functional and open, ensuring better use of every square meter.

Technical upgrades and everyday comfort

Behind the walls, just as much has changed. A completely new electrical system, modern plumbing installations, and efficient ventilation ensure a healthy indoor climate for years to come. The kitchen has been replaced with contemporary fixtures and energy-efficient appliances, while the bathroom now features a spacious shower area and durable materials built to last.

Preserving the character

The original pine floors have been carefully sanded and varnished to bring them back to life. Where new walls have been added, matching wooden flooring has been installed to ensure a harmonious look that stays true to the building’s character.

Approval and process

Before the work begins, an inspection is carried out together with the Rent Tribunal to determine whether modernization is possible. The renovation itself typically takes around ten weeks – resulting in a home that provides a safe and comfortable setting for many years to come.
